SHIPPING & DELIVERY DETAILS

Many of our Chocolate Covered Company® gourmet gift items are made to order and require expedited shipping to preserve freshness and quality.  We calculate the order shipping costs based on product selection, desired delivery date, time of year and shipping zone/method.   All shipping and processing charges are based on a single address and can be review during the checkout process.

General Guide for Shipping and Processing Rates: 

Shipping Rates from $14.95 - $29.95

Multiple Item Shipments: Multiple order items are charged an additional per-item fee of $5-10, depending on product selection, desired delivery date and shipping zone/method.  Some restrictions apply for volume purchases or bulky items.

Shipping Upgrades:  To obtain a better guarantee for online next day delivery (or your desired delivery date), a $14.95 morning delivery priority upgrade option may be available during checkout. 

Saturday Delivery: From $9.95 - $24.95 (If available in the delivery area)

Peak Time Delivery (Handling and Care Fees*):  from $4.95 - $9.95 (per item)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

P.O. Box Deliveries: We cannot ship to P.O. boxes. Please provide a physical street address for delivery.

Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico Deliveries: Chocolate Covered Company® offers shipping to an address in the continental USA. *Sorry we do not ship to AK, HI or Puerto Rico at this time.

Signature Release: All orders are shipped signature release, unless otherwise indicated. Due to the perishable nature of our products, please review and follow the handling instructions on or inside your shipping box.  We recommend notifying the receiving party about your delivery and the perishable nature of the product.

Commercial addresses, hospitals, hotels, schools, and gated communities: If you are sending your gift to a business or hotel please be aware that our carriers may deliver the package to a front desk, reception area, or a shipping and receiving department. We recommend notifying the receiving party about your delivery and the perishable nature of the product. Chocolate Covered Company® is not responsible if our shipping partner is unable to deliver the package because the business is closed or they have no access.

Address Correction:  Your order may be subject to additional charges for address corrections or forwarding.

Packaging: Our products are shipped in an insulated box or tote, depending on the item, to ensure freshness. We provide creative, elegant and practical presentations for each of our orders with a variety of inner/outer packing to guarantee your satisfaction.

Delivery Guarantee: Chocolate Covered Company® guarantees your package will arrive in good condition to the address stated on your order by 8pm. This excludes orders for which we are given incorrect (or incomplete addresses), product left unattended, and/or un-refrigerated upon arrival.  From time to time, your order may experience a delay with the carrier, beyond our control.  We reserve the right to change any shipping method or make corrections if an error or delay does occur.

Holiday Shipping: Chocolate Covered Company® makes every effort to deliver your holiday orders on time and accurately. Please be aware that during peak gift giving periods such as Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, shipping delays may occur. Therefore, delivery guarantees may not apply to specific shipping services.

Change Delivery Date, Gift Message or Cancellations: When your order is placed, our web system automatically processes it and prints a shipping label and your gift message. Orders placed for next day delivery can only be cancelled or changed within 4hrs (Non-Peak holidays) of the regular cut-off time. For Peak Holidays, we required 48 hrs. To change your order to a future-date, please email us at ecare@ChocolateCoveredCompany.com.  We will make every effort to accommodate your request if your gourmet gift has not already been produced.

Weather Delays:  If your product is delayed, damaged in transit or never delivered due to severe weather conditions, shipping carriers will not honor any Guarantees, and therefore neither can we.

Availability and Substitutions: All orders are subject to availability. Substitutions may be necessary to ensure your gift is delivered in a timely manner and depending on availability. We make every effort to have inventory on hand especially during peak gifting periods. We also maintain close links to our ingredient/raw material partners so that our orders are among the very first to get filled regardless of timing and availability. 

Gourmet gifts may be substituted with another gift of equal or greater value and of similar category in order to meet your ship date requirements.

Periodic changes in product formulation, serving sizes, preparation techniques, sources of supply, as well as seasonal differences may affect the final product of your order.  The utmost care and attention is given to your order to ensure that it is as similar as possible to the requested item.

Reservation of Rights: Chocolate Covered Company® reserves the right to change descriptions, specifications, and prices of the products offered on the website without notice and at any time.  Chocolate Covered Company® reserves the right to change or discontinue Free Shipping or any other promotions at our discretion.
